The EcoFan 800 is a classic design, and one of the most popular Ecofans available. Taller than the 815, but slightly shorter than the 810, the 800 is a perfect balance that suits standard sized rooms. 

Powered by the heat from your stove, the Ecofan requires no batteries. Simply place on top of the stove and you're ready to go! The fan starts automatically once it reaches a certain temperature, and self adjusts its blade speed with the stove temperature.

Tests by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, have proven that using a Caframo Ecofan can reduce fuel usage up to 18%. This also means that particulate and carbon emissions are also reduced, meaning that a Caframo Ecofan not only saves you money but also helps the environment.

How Does An Ecofan Work?

Ecofans have no need for batteries. Instead Ecofans use thermoelectric technology to convert heat into electricity.  At the centre of each Ecofan is a unique thermoelectric module. The patented Ecofan design creates a hot side and a cold side on the module and when this happens, a principle called the “Seebeck Effect” causes electrons to flow within the module, which generates the electricity to operate the fan.
