Using an award winning design, the EcoFan 812 pushes hot air out into the room, using an 9" blade to actively move hot air, helping you to heat large areas efficiently and allowing you to feel the heat from your stove up to 38% faster.

The EcoFan 812 is the largest EcoFan on the market, and as such pushes out more heat, quicker. It is a great option if you are trying to distribute the heat from your stove in a large room, or if you want to push the heat out of a room to allow it to spread.

Powered by the heat from your stove, the EcoFan requires no batteries. Simply place on top of the stove and you're ready to go! The fan starts automatically once it reaches a certain temperature, and self adjusts its blade speed with the stove temperature.

Tests by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, have proven that using a Caframo 812 EcoFan can reduce fuel usage up to 18%. This also means that particulate and carbon emissions are also reduced, meaning that a Caframo EcoFan not only saves you money but also helps the environment.

How Does An EcoFan Work?

EcoFans have no need for batteries. Instead EcoFans use thermoelectric technology to convert heat into electricity.  At the centre of each EcoFan is a unique thermoelectric module. The patented EcoFan design creates a hot side and a cold side on the module and when this happens, a principle called the “Seebeck Effect” causes electrons to flow within the module, which generates the electricity to operate the fan.
